The Board
Tyler County ESD No. 1 is governed by a five-member board of emergency services commissioners. Commissioners are appointed by the Tyler County Commissioner for Precinct 1, currently Joe Blackshear, and approved by the Tyler County Commissioners Court.
The board adopts the annual budget, sets the tax rate, approves the contract with the Ivanhoe Volunteer Fire Department, and oversees the use of district funds.
