Tax Rate & Budgets
Tax rate notices, calculation worksheets and adopted budgets for the district.
How the District Is Funded
Tyler County ESD No. 1 is funded by an ad valorem property tax on real and personal property inside the district boundaries. Property values are set by the Tyler County Appraisal District, and the tax is assessed and collected by the Tyler County Tax Assessor-Collector.
Each year the board adopts a budget and sets a tax rate at a public meeting. Notice of the proposed rate and of any required public hearing is published before the board votes.
